The amphitheater does not exist in isolation. It is part of a broader expansion of Melissa Lake Park that has been reshaping what the ten-acre site can offer the community. The lake itself is now encircled by a solar-lit concrete perimeter trail, giving walkers and joggers a usable loop after sundown. The new venue also fits inside a formal framework the city has set for its parks future. The Melissa Market already demonstrated that residents will show up regularly when there is a reason to gather. The amphitheater adds a different kind of draw — one built around performance and shared experience rather than commerce — and the two can complement each other as anchors on the same stretch of the city.
